Pretty Lackluster
It is the second intermission between
Former Oilers involved in the Pitkanen trade:
Player | Goals | Assists | Points | TOI | +/- |
Jason Smith | 0 | 0 | 0 | | -6 |
Joffery Lupul | 0 | 1 | 1 | | 0 |
Now those are some pretty lackluster numbers. First, Jason Smith is -6 (really -7 since he was on for AO’s goal in the second period). That is pretty brutal for a guy that seemed like a decent shut down d-man while he was in
*Note* Jason Smith has be on the ice for 16 out of the 23 goals
Think the Flyers would like to have another puck moving d-man during this series?
*Well with Lupul scoring the OT winner throw this one away

Still a crap series for both players. Man I thought Washington was taking it.....
Lupul was terrible the whole series.
Refs put their whistles in the pockets, then decided to put them on again in OT. Puzzling stuff.
I love Ovechkin. That is all.
Friendly reminder to get your 2nd round picks in for the playoff pool.
Keep up the good work on this blog. Just read a few entries below.
How would this entry have looked if the Oilers were in the playoffs and you start to compare Pitkanen and Sanderson to Lupul and Smith? I think Philly would take it, Sanderson would not be playing and Pitkanen would get a runny nose and sit out. If Sanderson was healthy he might make a good showing in a few games.
